El Mom has decided to fly me out to L.A. to be with the rest of the family. No, I'm not a typical LA->Seattle transplant. I'm from Hawaii. It's just cheaper for everyone to meet there than it is for everyone to fly to Hawaii. Plus, my 2nd oldest sister lives there now, and has never traveled on a holiday, ever. Wish she had told me sooner. Not used to getting monetary help from Mom - usually the money goes the other way.
It will be great seeing my "little" brother again. He's so wacky and fun-to-pick-up-and-throw, even though he's going on something like 300 pounds now. Something about being the big brother makes it always possible for me to pick him up and push him around, despite being a relative lightweight. Also, I can give him the birthday present I bought him 2 years ago. I hope he still likes... uh... these things. Hi Ian! I am slightly flaky! You get a gift because I bought it when I had money!
