Just FYI, if you use a lot of salt in your fried chicken batter, it can saturate the frying oil and form massive six-sided salt crystals on your chicken, which look like somebody's lost crystal earrings or something.

Do you have pictures?

I remember reading something about salt in batter and deep-frying and odd results, but can't remember what. I have the book around here so I'll reference it later.

That musta been a lot of salt. And speaking of salt, I'm going to go slather some on my steak (along with pepper and minced garlic). Time to meek dee szteak, b0rk, b0rk!
