FWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH
Okay, after riding Ellensburg->Cle Elum and back, I think "headwinds" should be a curse word. They are vile. Blowing you down the hill when you want to go up, preventing you from ever coasting, and just beating the hell out of you and pushing you off the road. It might've been a little windier than usual. On the other hand, if your ride route is punctuated by vertical axis wind turbines, you should probably expect a little breeze.

Strangely, the only part of me that isn't sore is my ass. I guess when you're cranking the pedals as hard as you can the whole time, there's not a whole lot of weight on the seat. I did get wind burn on my face and a serious sunburn from my knee to my ankle. My pasty little legs just aren't used to sunlight.
Upside: on the way back, those winds were behind me and I hit 47 mph, which is a never before!
We stopped for a snack in Thorp. Do you know what they sell in Thorp?

What? There's no such thing as Thorp? Thorp an unlikely town name? Just can't believe that something called Thorp isn't a corporation?
