Holy crap what a day. I guess most of it really happened at work. The gist of it is, it was my turn under the magnifying glass, and I was sick and coughy. Later, I went home and stayed there. I am still here. Nice place. Lots of desks, no monsters...

I am experiencing monitor jealousy, though. Helen's ordering an 18" LCD flat panel for her new micro desktop/deskside/wallmount computer thing. Anthro makes an arm that lets you reposition an LCD FP monitor like a dentist's work lamp. That would be so perfect! Holy crap! Except I just realized that drizzle billed me for the entire next year of DSL at once just now, which costs only a smidge less than fancy LCD monitor. Next week, maybe. Oh wait, it's new car tags month, too.

car tags over net works frikkin great. I dunno how the government of the state of Washington got something right but they sure got that one right.

wait a minute new car tags cost like less than $100. New 18" monitor, flatscreen, is like, um, $1000. factor of 10 there.

Anyway.
23" cinema display. hold out. (:

Car tags, while not comparable to the price of a shmancy monitor, are definately not under $100 for me. I think the "voter approved tax" part changes according to the value of your car. But you're right, the Washington DOL handles it pretty darn well. We don't need no steenking govworks.

Dell is selling their 18" FP LCD for $599 till Thursday... aaagh. 23"? That's pornographic.
