I'm still excited about working. I'm less excited about riding the bus. The bus subjects you to stinky people, you see. I like the variety, I dislike the fidgety smoky guy next to me who keeps coughing on everything while he nervously rubs his rolling papers over and over and over in the same place. Yeah that's flavor country, pal. You just keep on stimming.

Work, of course, is a smoke-free environment, so basically it's a non-stop fun factory. I sit near enough the bathrooms to overhear all the excitement of impromptu personal meetings. I'm not sure why, exactly, people like yelling across the office at each other rather than walking, but it sure has taught me a lot about their vacation to Aruba.

My one rule for coping with life in the city is to avoid the smell of urine as much as possible. So, on the bus, I've been known to get up and change seats if a urine-scented passenger settles down within smelling range. I'm sure it looks really rude, but these are the things one has to do to stay reasonably sane. I will not tolerate the scent of pee! NEVER!!!!
