This morning I took part in a usability study. Woke up early, got dressed, made coffee that would strip the zinc off nickels, and had plenty of time to sit around wondering if I was going to slide off the snowy freeway and die on my way there. I realized I wouldn't be eating for at least 3 hours, so I made myself a peanut butter and honey sandwich.
"I am so prepared," I thought, "early enough to get car fuel, make sure the tires are all the same pressure, deposit my unemployment check, and get to redmond in time." That's when I flipped half my sandwich off the counter.

Fortunately, the rest of the day was uphill from there. I got to be the most normal looking person at the study! Poor, normal, likes-to-bathe-every-day me.
