    Time Event
    4:40a
    Albedo
Laptops light themselves up. They're good for writing in the dark.

Ed's house is empty, except for Kris. Kris has to live in that house until he finds his new living situation, or until may. Whichever comes first. It would be like living in a warehouse, in his place. Wake up, look around, see bare walls and your belongings in a heap. Walk to the bathroom and kitchen, and back to your bed because there's nowhere else to sit. Eat your food and hang out somewhere else. You can't watch TV or sit around on the couch. Just 6 empty rooms, a telephone, and you. Reminds me of when I lived in Portland and Ed moved out (got fired). He's got to get out of there. I want to expedite that. Wish I was some kind of housing-arrangement baron so I could bring some sort of leverage to bear. Oh well. I guess I can drive him around looking at places.

Man, I wish I knew more kooky math/graphics people besides Brett. I mean, Brett's a great coder and all, but he's still basically funky obsessed cellular automata guy. (except recently he's become funky obsessed code infrastructure guy. Is anything less gratifying than having good methodology?)

Like the guy that read Jos Stam's thing about fluid solvers and advecting textures and combined it with what he knew about vorticity confinement and made this:

(interactive win32 demo originally posted on flipcode.com. Requires GLUT32 in the path or in its directory)

I wonder if I'd find people like that at school?
