Here, I got a little sample.
Before I sleep for the second (third?) time today - this is a typical shop in the innards of an akihabara component market. This guy has more components in stock in 100 sq. ft than the Renton Fry's does in 900. Yes, there is a guy in there!

And I bet his components are better-organized than at Fry's. Plus the sales staff aren't flirting with each other.

You said it. The last time I was at Fry's the sales staff continuously got underfoot and in the way because they were completely preoccupied with each other. It was like a house party except dirtier.
