christ. I'm nervous about leaving this redhat machine on the network. I mean, it's running a fabulously secure ftpd now, it's patched up to yesterday evening, and it's DRIPPING in ipchains. But still. I can't figure out how to get the cisco to filter bridged ethernet traffic (and it might not be possible). After all this trouble I might wind up doing multi NAT. Isn't that interesting? NOOOO
I went to home depot today and bought a big slab of pine (THE WOOD, NOT AN MUA, YOU FUCKING GEEK), cut that thing up with a circular saw and stuck C-clamps all over it to form SHELVES. Yeah. I felt pretty manly, constructing stuff. Being manly apparently involves having tons of splinters.
