Who has a new phone?

This guy!

Man, since when could telephones take pictures? If someone told Alexander Graham Bell, he'd get all mad and insist you were thinking of someone else's invention.

Hey, what kind is it? I just got one, too! But I'm debating on whether I like it. Because it wasn't the one I went in for, which turned out not to do something I really wanted.

This is the motorola v3 I have been pursuing for weeks, through great trials of annoyance. I am now on a first name basis with the employees of the Cingular store. I always have to call them; they never called when they promised. They're like a bad boyfriend.

Which phone did you wind up with?

I have thus far avoided this problem. Know how? The plan is this: instead of washing your clothes, buy new ones!

Just kidding. I am really freaked about busting this phone, so I got insurance on it. Seriously.

How I deal with dirty dishes is:

Step 1: Make the dishes dirty
Step 2: Put them in the dishwasher
Step 3: Forget about them, eat off paper towels for the rest of my life

my real solution is make a deal with the roomie: she does the dishes/general kitchen and i do the bathroom. works perfect for me =)

I've done that.

With the dishes.

I hate doing dishes. Really, really, really, really hate it.

So it came down to washing them finally and it was 'oh. um. you know, these ARE ruined.'

Whuzzat, the classic "photographing one's self while standing in front of a mirror" shot? :) The glowing screen over the eye makes you look sort of Borg. Not that that's a bad thing!

Pray tell, what made you change your mind? Did you (gasp!) actually manage to buy some Printed Circuit records!? That girl is notoriously bad at keeping her damn CDs and vinyl in print. Thank god for Electrobleep!

Well hey, thanks. Yeah, phone insurance. Basically if someone steals my phone, or I break it, or something else bad happens, I get a new one for $50. (Note: if someone does steal it, and I notice, bad things will happen to them, despite insurance.)

pictures are the only way that most US telco VP's can understand how to use 'data.'

Never mind email.

Soon you'll have the 3g explosion (it'll make a giant sucking sound) and you'll have all these 'video phones' and people will be on tv showing how they use the video phone and people will go 'um. I don't wanna see grandma nude. Or my boss. And, you know, if I go to the bar, and I answer my phone, I don't want my boss knowing. You know, I don't want my wife knowing what I do... you know, this is just like all not something I want for privacy at ALL' and then the government will step in and force you to have a 3g cellphone implanted in your head so they can track you at all times, and what you're doing.

Which will be great for the group of businessmen close to the government who will get the no-bid contract to supply such, and keep the data, and sell it.

Ah, that's right. You did work for a cell provider, didn't you? Yes, the cingular rep was telling me of how the Japanese were enjoying their videoconferencing via cell.

Well, if the government starts tracking what I'm doing all the time, they're going to get real sick of watching me read livejournal, let me tell you. They will also be sick of bug 129805. fuckin 129805.

Oh, hi. I am glad you're enjoying the hug counter. Did you know it changes in December? Yep. The counters will be extra-funny looking for a month or so.
