Man, I wish I knew more kooky math/graphics people besides Brett. I mean, Brett's a great coder and all, but he's still basically funky obsessed cellular automata guy. (except recently he's become funky obsessed code infrastructure guy. Is anything less gratifying than having good methodology?)
Like the guy that read Jos Stam's thing about fluid solvers and advecting textures and combined it with what he knew about vorticity confinement and made this:
