Bike commuting day 2

I gotta say, I looked way cooler biking to work today. I have a satchel from when I was in college, which, it turns out, is a far better bag than my backpack for riding with. I always wondered why it had such a huge shoulder strap. oh right, trager seattle.

Plus I wore a technical t-shirt instead of my normal shirt with my jacket, contacts and bike glasses instead of my normal nerd glasses. All I need to do to be mistaken for a messenger is not wear my helmet and run red lights. Oh, and be in way better shape.

More strawberries on your knees and shins, too.

Ohh, right right. Maybe break my nose once in a while. I could enhance the illusion by periodically talking into my shoulder.

Trager bags are really nice! I have been kinda wanting one for school... but they are SO expensive.

They are. I remember buying it at the school store and it not having a price on it and me being completely shocked at the counter at it being like $110 or something. But paying anyhow, because it was the only bag there I liked and I was carrying a $95 calculus text around in it anyway.

Nice bag - the colour even matches your frame. Perfect.

I used to be a bike courier, and I'm trying to remember what my bag was like but ECT has clouded that memory. I remember blue Lycra, though. What are you wearing? Pix?

My frame is actually just metal colored, but most of the components are black, which matches my bag. If you were a frequent courier here, you probably had either an Ortlieb waterproof bag or a Timbuk2 bag. I rarely see anything else attached to a courier.

I'm just wearing my normal black slacks here, and my technical shirt is grey and.. light grey.

It wasn't either of those; I don't think it was a designer bag. Also, I wasn't a courier in Seattle - this was Toronto, like a decade ago.

No cycling shorts?
